We employ great people in the following casual roles;

January to December – General Farmhand

October to February – Blueberry Picker, Blueberry Packer, Delivery Driver

General Farmhand – You need to be have a great attitude to working outdoors and be able to work by yourself and in small teams. The primary tasks you’ll be completing include brushcutting, hand weeding, planting, mowing and the use of small agricultural machinery. This is an active role that has best been performed by fit and strong 16 to 30 year olds.

Blueberry Picker – You need a great attitude and to be able to work outdoors. Blueberry picking while seemingly straightforward requires a combination of physical attributes and observational skills and attention to detail. To be effective in this role you need to be able to have a good level of physical fitness, stamina and mobility, be able to complete a repetitive task, have good observational skills with excellent attention to detail and most importantly have excellent dexterity with your fingers. Typically we pick early morning, starting once the berries are dry of dew and pick until 11am-midday.

Blueberry Packer – Attitude and attention to detail are key in this role. Packing is completed every day after picking and this work is usually offered to pickers who stay locally and have high standards. Packing normally takes 3-4 hours per day and requires 4-5 workers.

Delivery Driver – You must have a great attitude and be able to interact with customers effectively and cordially. Of course the relevant valid licence requirements for driving a delivery ute must also be met. This role is best completed by people working as pickers, farmhands or local people looking for very much casual work.
